Emery Down / Swan Green

Swan Green is a small settlement bounded by woodland and Emery Down to the west and north.

Lyndhurst is close to its boundary on the east and arable lands and former parkland to the south.

Cricket has been played on the green since 1883, but after 130 years this is to be no more.  The current Swan Green CC has since disbanded.

The local pub in Swan Green is The Swan Inn at the junction of the A35 / Bournemouth Road.

The parish church in Emery Down is Christ Church, a 19th century building set in beautiful surroundings.   

The local pub in Emery Down is The New Forest Inn, a wood-panelled 18th-century building.
